Ear Protection in Melbourne

Acute Hearing Solutions provides a range of custom made ear protection solutions for Melbourne patients, helping to preserve your hearing across work, music, water, and everyday environments.

Why Ear Protection
Matters

Noise induced hearing loss is one of the most common and entirely preventable forms of hearing loss in Australia. Exposure to sounds above 85 decibels, whether from industrial machinery, live music, power tools, or even prolonged use of headphones, can cause gradual and permanent damage to the inner ear over time. Once this damage occurs, it cannot be reversed. The most effective way to protect your hearing is to take preventative action before any deterioration begins.

At Acute Hearing Solutions, we offer a range of custom made ear protection solutions designed to fit the unique shape of each patient’s ear canal. Unlike generic off the shelf earplugs, custom made ear protection provides a superior fit, greater comfort for extended wear, and a more precise level of noise reduction suited to your specific environment and lifestyle. Whether you work in a noisy industry, play or attend live music, swim regularly or simply want a better night’s sleep, we have the right solution for you.

Which Ear Protection Is Right for You?

We offer custom ear protection across a range of categories to suit different needs and environments:

Noise plugs for industrial and workplace environments, providing maximum noise reduction to industry standards

Musician earplugs designed to reduce volume evenly across all frequencies without distorting sound quality, available in 9dB, 15dB, and 25dB reduction levels

Swimming plugs made from soft velvety silicone for a watertight custom fit, ideal for swimmers, surfers, and those prone to ear infections

Sleep plugs for a comfortable and secure fit during sleep, reducing ambient noise without causing discomfort

General noise conservation plugs for concerts, motorsports, shooting, and other high noise recreational activities

If you are unsure which type of ear protection is best suited to your needs, our audiologists can assess your situation and recommend the most appropriate solution.
